Volunteers

Weymouth Dance Festival is organised by a small committee. In order to actually run the festival, we need volunteers.

This year we need to have a Body of Person Approval (BOPA) Certificate from Dorset Council. Put simply, if we don’t have enough volunteers, the festival will not run.

And with 2023 being a qualification year, we expect the festival to be busy.

That’s why we’re asking for volunteers from every school with entries at the festival.

Volunteering is not a massive commitment – you could volunteer for just one session. The more parents who volunteer, the less demand on individual people.

Although we don’t have the schedule yet, please register your willingness to volunteer at some point during the festival on this short form. Once the schedule is ready we’ll be back in touch to see if and when you might be able to help out.
