Entries

We’re changing to the online All England Dance Festival Connect entry system this year. The biggest change that this brings is the entries must be done by a dance teacher.

2023 is an All England qualification festival, so we expect entries to come in thick and fast once we do open.

We will update this page as soon as we know when entries will open.

Teachers

If you’ve entered dances for Regional and National Finals, you will already have a Festival Connect account so you can make sure that all your dancers are on the system before you need to connect them with Weymouth Dance Festival.

We also suggest you start building a list of your school’s entries so you’re ready once the entry is open – take a look at the Syllabus.

If you haven’t used the Festival Connect system before, please register now and start adding your dancers’ details into the system, ready to connect them with Weymouth Dance Festival once entries have opened.

The information you’ll need about each of your dancers is:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • House number/name and postcode
  • Academic school
  • Parent/guardian email address and emergency contact number
  • Name of whoever will be their supervising adult at the festival, plus their relationship to the dancer. Please note, that if the supervising adult is not the dancer’s parent (and they will be getting the dancer changed), they will need a chaperone licence. Please contact your local council to apply.
  • Confirmation that the dancer’s parent/guardian is happy for the official photographer to take photos of them on stage.
